Our sweet wife and mother is finally relieved from years of pain and suffering. She passed peacefully from this mortal life on September 13, 2009 at her home.

She was born September 14, 1930 to Vergie Mae Williams and James Delial Ivie.

She spent her formative years in Flowell. She graduated from Millard High School where she excelled in music, drama, and dance. She was the oldest of seven children. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Morrell and Monte, two sisters, LaVeve and Deon, two grandchildren, Damion and Berkley, and her youngest son Morgan.

She met her husband of 59 years, Donald, at an open-air dance in Fillmore. She waited for him while he served a two year mission. They were married on March 31, 1950 in the Manti Temple. She served valiantly in various church callings, she especially enjoyed working with the youth and touched their lives for good.

Carene is survived by her husband, Donald, and three of her children, Terry (Terri) Baldwin of Cedar City, Angela Daley of Provo and Kim (Greg) Solberg of Beaver, two sisters, Lisa Higley and Rhea Baughman, 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She excelled as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Beaver First Ward Chapel. Friends may pay their respects at a viewing on Thursday evening form 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Southern Utah Mortuary and on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Church.

Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
