Virgie Mae Frankum, 87, died April 26, 1998 at the Nursing Home in Hayti, Mo. She was born April 8, 1911.
She worked at Brown Shoe in Caruthersville for several years. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hayti, Mo. She was united in marriage to C.J. Frankum May 26, 1928 at Kennett, Mo. He preceded her in death December 26, 1964.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Lee on January 1, 1997.
Survivors include: one son, Robert E. (Sonny) Frankum of Union City, Tn.; one daugher, Darlene Lawrey of Hayti, Mo.; one sister, Ruth Miller of Hayti, Mo.; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo. with Rev. Jessie Morries officiating.
