Byron David Jorgensen, son of Andrew and Mathilda Jorgensen was born November 28, 1890 on the family farm in the Osco community and departed this life April 19, 1959 at the age of 68 years, four months and 21 days. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith in infancy.
He was united in marriage to Ethel Christine Ostegaard of Upland on December 29, 1915. To them were born three children, Virginia, Dale and Alan.
Mr. Jorgensen farmed in the Osco community until 1935 when the family moved to Holstein. In 1944 they moved to Minden where he spent the remainder of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, mother, father and one brother, Harry A. Jorgensen.
On October 30, 1951 he was married to Dona Oman of Minden.
He is survived by his wife, his daughter, Mrs. Virginia Christensen, Fullerton and sons, Dale and Alan, both of Hastings five grandsons, two step-daughters, Mrs. Jennie Palmblade and Mrs. Clara Stadler, both of Minden, and by other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon April 21, at the Layton Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Slagg officiating. Interment was in the Minden Cemetery.
