Another young man of our neighborhood has been called to rest, at the age of only 26 years and 6 months, A. Elgie Neeley, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.S. Neeley, of Route 2, died at a hospital in Memphis Tuesday as a result of an appendicitis operation. He was brought to this city and funeral services were conducted by the Rev. G.A. Shadwick at the home of Mrs. Harvey G. Smith on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Interment was in Little Prairie cemetery.
Mr. Neeley bore a splendid reputation among his acquaintances, who grieve to hear of the death of this fine young man. The sympathy of The Democrat-Argus goes out to the family and friends of the deceased in this trying hour.
