Emily Hooker Short
Emily Hooker Short, wife of Louis L. Short, died at her home on the Westville road Saturday morning, October 5, 1935, after a long illness. Mrs. Short was the daughter of Robert Hooker, Jr., and T. Jane Chamberlain Hooker, and was born in the town of Westford, March 6, 1873. On December 28, 1904, she was married to Louis
L. Short, and they had lived on the farm where she died ever since their marriage.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from her late home at 2:30, with the Rev. N. B. Ripley and the Rev. Walter A. Miller conducting the service. Burial in the Westville cemetery.
Besides her husband, she is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Floyd S. Butler of the town of Maryland, and by several more distant relatives.
