Hattie Bernice Tomek, 85, of Cameron died Sunday, September 13, 2009 in a Cameron nursing center. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Marak with Rev. Walter Matus, Rev. Juan Carlos Lopez, and Rev. Robert Herald officiating. Burial will follow in the Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.
Ms. Tomek, a Homemaker, was born Aril 30, 1924 in Bell County to Joe and Marie (Hanacik) Grygar. She married John Tomek and he preceded him in death in 2007. She was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church and K.J.Z.T of Marak. She is preceded in death by her husband John and one brother, Clarence.
