MILDRED P CROWDER "Midge": 96; Longmont; died Sunday [10-8] at Life Care Center of Longmont. MrsCrowder was born 15 Aug 1910, on a farm in North Bend NE to John & Maud Wallace.
She was the youngest of 7 children. She moved to Colorado when she was 7. She graduated from Boulder Prep High School in 1928. She married Robert "Bob" Crowder in Littleton on 29 Sep 1928. After her wedding, MrsCrowder attended Parks Business School. During World War 2, she worked at the Remington Rand Munitions plant in Denver. After the war, she was a homemaker & worked at NeoData Esquire publications for a while. MrsCrowder & her husband moved from Boulder to Longmont in 1981. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in 1984. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Boulder.
MrsCrowder was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; 6 brothers & sisters; & a gr-grandson, Preston Crowder. She is survived by 2 sons, Robert Crowder-Tucson AZ & Bill Crowder-Longmont; 5 grandchildren, Doug Crowder-Livermore CA, Marine Lt. Kyle Crowder-NC, Kemmery & Kellyn Crowder-Longmont & Lora Jackson-Parker; 4 gr-grandchildren, Billy & Megan Jackson, Tyler Crowder & Misha Willing. Per MrsCrowder's request, no services are scheduled. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Howe Mortuary of Longmont. Inurnment will take place in the family plot at Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder.
