Lester Otto Buck, 81, Simms, died at his home Sunday morning after an extended illness.
He was born in Pelican Rapids, Minn., was educated there and spent his early youth in Washington. He came to Montana in 1910 to ranch in the Fort Benton area. He moved to the Simms area in 1928 to operate a ranch.
He married Alice Ruth Crabtree in 1932. They had lived in the Simms area since that time.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Fairfield, the Scottish Rite and the Simms Community Church.
Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Donald W. Rose of Cascade and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be in the Simms Community Church Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Williamson officiating. Burial will be in the Sun River Cemetery under the direction of the Masonic Fairfield Lodge.
