Mrs. Addie Mae Walker Self of Vaiden passed away at the Grenada Hospital on August 2 and last rites were held at the residence on Sunday afternoon, August 3rd with the Rev. James T. McCafferty, Jr. officiating. Burial was in Hopewell cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers were Turner Mann, James Hogan, Paul Clifford, Bill Doster, Theo. Holden and Garrison Ross.
Mrs. Self was born in Carroll County on March 12, 1914 and in 1940 was married to David Self who survives. She was a member of the Hebron Methodist Church near Vaiden.
Besides her husband she leaves a son, Alvin Wilson Caldwell of Kosciusko; two step-sons, Roscoe Self, Vaiden, Cpl. Johnny Self, U. S. Army.
