Louis Gimet Buvens, 71, of Many, died in the Sabine Medical Center in Many, La., August 8, 1983, at 1:30 p.m., after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m., in the St. John Catholic Church in Many, with Father Louis Antlitz officiating. Burial was in the St. John Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
Survivors include his wife, Augusta Williams Buvens of Many; two sons, Jerry Gimet Buvens of Ruston, and Jackie H. Buvens of Many; one daughter, Linda Buvens Crowell of Shreveport; one sister, Alice Merle Tatum of Longview, Tex.; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ricky DeLatin, Max Whatley, Dolph Williams, Terry DeLatin, Tommy McComic, and Jim Perry.
A Rosary was held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 9.
