The elder Huyck, who was a retired minister of Ashland, came to Lincoln to visit with his son on Christmas day. On Christmas night he was taken ill with a chill, which later developed into the disease which caused his death.
For twenty or twenty-five years the deceased had been pastor of the Christian church at Ashland, and had been a resident of Nebraska for the past thirty years. The body was shipped to Ashland, Neb., this afternoon at 4:20 o'clock. Funeral services and interment will take place there Wednesday.
