Rites Are Incomplete
Funeral rites for Mrs. Martha Winston remain incomplete.
The 71-year-old Epperly woman died in a local hospital at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Born at Tams on March 3, 1886, she was the daughter of the late Abner and Barbara Jane Lester.
She had been a resident of Raleigh County all her life and was a member of the Methodist Church at Epperly.
Her husband, Hobart H. Winston, preceded her in death eight years ago.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. S. B. Kelly and Mrs. Willie Pyshone, both of Epperly, Mrs. Albert Adkins of Glen Daniel, Mrs. Angie Lester and Mrs. Bill Winston, both of Helen; three sons, Norman Briggs of Detroit, Mich, and Kelly Briggs; and one brother, Allen Lester of Ury.
The body is at the Calfee Funeral Home.
