Madison County Man Did Not Hear Train Approaching
Jackson, TN - April 5 -- Dave Crow, 65, a highly respected resident of Brittain Spur, 35 miles north of Jackson, was killed by a train this afternoon while walking down the center of the Birmingham & Northwestern railroad track. Crow was reported to be deaf and although the engineer tried to stop before striking him, the man was hit hard enough to cause internal injuries from which he died before the train reached Bells, two miles from the scene of the accident.
