Mrs. Julia Bradley Dies after Brief Illness at Vincennes, Ind.
Mrs. Julia Bradley, an old resident of Augusta, passed away a t the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. U. Hartman, of Vincennes, Ind., where she spent the winter, Monday night at the age of 79 years, following a short illness of heart trouble. Julia Flanders was born in 1849 on the Flanders farm in Charleston township. She was the daughter of Ebenezer G. and Mary F. Flanders. In 1869 she was united in marriage to John Bradley and moved to the farm which is now known as the B. B. Mott farm in Charleston, where they resided until about twenty-one years ago, when they moved to Augusta. Seven children were born to this union, one of whom, Myron L., was killed in 1906. The four daughters and two sons surviving are: Mrs. D. U. Hartman, of Vincennes, Ind.; Mrs. Frank Haight, of Indianapolis, Ind.; Mrs. M. O. Hamblin, of Detroit; Mrs. Fran k G. Kent, of this village; George W., of Pocatello, Idaho, and Leslie J., of Charleston. She also leaves 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Bradley was a member of the local W. C. T. U. and Foreign Missionary society and will be remembered for her excellent recitations. The remains have been shipped here, but definite plans for the funeral will not be made until word is received from the son in Idaho.
