SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. LEAH AUNGST

Mrs. Leah Aungst, 75, passed away at the home of her son, Harry Aungst, of Tacoma, Washington on August 28 just before midnight. The cause of her demise was cancer.

Leah Bobb was born at Freeport, Illinois in 1857 and was married to John Aungst in 1879 and moved with her husband to Sterling, Illinois at which place they resided until moving to Brewster in 1909. At that time the family consisted of two sons, Harry and Chas. and one daughter, Alice.

Mr. and Mrs. John Aungst resided in Brewster until Mr. Aungst's death in 1926 and then Mrs. Aungst moved to Tacoma and resided with her son Harry until her death excepting some visits made with her relatives here.

Services were held at the Episcopal Church here yesterday with Rev. O. H. Cleveland of Cashmere officiating. Interment was at the Locust Grove Cemetery where her husband, John Aungst, and her daughter, Mrs. Alice Keith, are both buried.

The deceased leaves two sons, Harry, of Tacoma; Chas. of Baker, Oregon; and two daughters, Mrs. Cora Appenzeller of Sterling, Illinois and Mrs. Verna Perkins of Pueblo, Colorado.
