WESLEY P. MCGLOTHLIN

Funeral services over the remains of Wesley P. McGlothlin of Brewster, who died at the Minor hospital, Seattle, last Friday, Dec. 23, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and were pronounced by Rev. D. D. Yates and Rev. John Leacher. Interment was made a the Locust Grove Cemetery, where a large number of friends and relatives paid their respects to the deceased.

Wesley P. McGlothlin was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Sept. 14th, 1856 and died in Seattle on Dec. 3rd, 1915 at the age of 59 years, two months and 18 days. For six years he was a resident of Brewster, and conducted a feed store. He made many friends and was well liked by all who knew him. A man of strong character, he was noted for his quaint humor and philosophy. For two years he had been a sufferer from gall stones and twice underwent operations in the hope of a cure. The last operation was more than his system in its weakened condition could stand and he never recovered.

Wesley P. McGlothlin was twice married and to the first union were born seven children, five girls and two boys, all of whom are living. Besides he leaves a wife and a number of step children.
