Clifford Heber Bingham passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2007 in his home in Corinne, Utah with his loving wife by his side.
He was born on November 10, 1919 in Wilson Lane, Utah to Brigham Albert and Eva Viola Stratford Bingham. While he was still young his family bought a farm and moved to Honeyville, UT where he grew up. He graduated from Box Elder High School and attended two years at Utah State University before deciding to stay home and pursue farming, as his chosen field of labor.
Clifford learned very young that the farm was where he loved to be. By the age of eight he was working the fields with a full team of horses. Clifford and Doris bought a farm in Corinne, UT and successfully farmed there for 53 years. He loved to work with the soil and enjoyed the yearly miracle of the crops growing, being watered and nourished and then harvested. He was a hard worker and diligent and successful farmer; growing crops, operating a dairy, and raising beef cattle.
Clifford passed his strong work ethic and integrity on to his children, who learned to work under his tutelage and by watching his outstanding example. All who had business dealings with Clifford knew him for his honesty and integrity.
Clifford married his eternal companion and sweetheart, Doris Phillips on November 20, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. This past November was their 60th Wedding Anniversary a milestone they were very pleased to share together on this earth.
Clifford loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and served willingly in many callings in the Mormon Church. He filled positions in the ward as a counselor in the bishopric, a high priest group leader, teacher in the Deacon's Quorum and home teacher just to name a few.
While a young man, Clifford served a mission to the Central States mission and then later in life he and Doris served in the Puerto Rico, San Juan mission.
Clifford is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters, David (Teresa) Bingham, Corinne; Raymond Bingham (Jill Baker), Ann Arbor, MI; Margaret (Bruce) Holmes, Idaho Falls, ID; and Lorraine (Roy) Andreasen, Corinne. Also surviving are 33 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren with six more to be added this year, brother, Marriner (Maralyn) Bingham, Nampa, ID; and sister, Beth (Marvin) Richins, Coalville, UT.
Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and his daughter, Rosann Prescott.
