Ralph was born outside of Rhodes, IA on the family farm. He graduated Rhodes High School, class of 1933. In the years from 1936 to 1941, Ralph had a body shop and also farmed the family farm. In 1958 he owned and operated the Black Comet Muffler factory in Rhodes, until 1961. In 1962 the family moved to Marshalltown. He owned and operted Richeson Rent-All from 1962 until retiring in 1977. Earlier he had operted the American Academy of Music from 1951 to 1955, served as president of the World Insurance Co. in Marshalltown from 1956 to 1957.
Mr. Richeson was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
