Services for a retired Ochiltree county farmer, James Henry KEY, were conducted Tuesday, May 12 at 2 p. m. in the First Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Carroll Ray officiating.
Mr. KEY, a resident of this area since 1907, died at 4 a. m. Sunday, May 10, in the Perryton Hospital. Interment was in Ochiltree cemetery under the direction of Boxwell Brothers.
Pallbearers were W. L. SEAGO, W. W. BLACKBURN, J. W. RICHARDSON, W. C. HOLDEMAN, John E. JOHNSON, F. M. McGEE, Edgar WITT and D. K. BAUMANN.
James Henry KEY was born September 17, 1875 in Audrian County, Mo., to James Luther and Sarah (JONES) KEY. On January 4, 1899, he was married to Etta Belle WILSON in Woodland, Mo.
Mr. KEY farmed in Missouri until 1907, when he moved to Ochiltree County. He lived in the Missouri Avenue community until he retired in 1942 and moved to Perryton. He has made his home there since that time.
Mr. KEY was converted and joined the Baptist church at an early age, and has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Ochiltree, and later of Perryton, for many years.
Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Stanly and Herbert KEY, both of Perryton; five grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Eva HEATHMAN of Holliday, Mo.
