Minnie Mills Goolsby was the daughter of James M. Goolsby and Emma Truly Mills. Minnie never married and was a governess in Washington D.C. The picture (right) is her passport picture issued when she went to Cuba to care for the children of an American diplomat. Minnie died in 1885, at the age of 42, 3 years after she went to Cuba.
