Mrs. Etta Lay, 79, buried here Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Etta May Lay, 79, were held Monday at Benton Harbor and burial was in the Keeler cemetery. Mrs. Lay was was born in Coloma and married Ezra Lay in 1898. They owned a farm in Keeler township until retiring and moving to Benton Harbor.
Surviving are two sons, Palmer of Hartford and William of Benton Harbor; two daughters, Mrs. Chester Green of St. Helens, Mich., and Mrs. Floyd Scarlee of Pipestone lake; 11 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Lay died in 1961. The Lay farm was in the vicinity of the Pierson farm southwest of the village.
