She was born July 13, 1914 to James N. and Jennie L. (Guthrie) Davis at Elizabeth, Ar., where she was raised and attended school.
She married Jerry Shrable on November 12, 1933. They moved to the Wenatchee Valley and then to Brewster in 1952.
Mrs. Shrable worked at the Okanogan-Douglas County Hospital for several years. She was a member of the Brewster Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Shrable enjoyed gardening, her flowers were admired by all who passed by. She took great delight in growing watermelons and cantaloupe. She was an avid fisherwoman and took great pleasure in out fishing her sons.
She is survived by four sons, Lowell, Kenneth, and Gordon, all of Brewster and James "Jim" of East Wenatchee; two daughters, Doris Allen of Tonasket and Delois Lindgren of Issaquah; five brothers, Herman, Thomas, Marvin, Woodrow "Jack" and James, all of Arkansas; a sister, Leota Burns of Ozark, Mo.; 13 grandchildren and seven grat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services were conducted Friday, April 21, 1995 at 1 pm from the Brewster City Cemetery with Pastor William Long officiating. Memorials may be made to the Northwest Kidney Foundation, PO Box 3035, Seattle, Washington 98114-9906. Services under the direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
