Funeral services for George W. Kendall, age 64, were held Wednesday afternoon July 15 at Church of Christ. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Kendall died Sunday, July 12, after a brief illness. He was a native of Mexia but had been a resident of Bowie for some years where he was a well known carpenter and builder. He was a member of the IOOF lodge. Survivore include his widow, Mrs. Mollie Kendall; three daughters, Mrs. James Ray of Ringgold, Mrs. Orville Lovelady of Houston, Mrs. Kenneth Kraner of Wichita Falls; one son, Franklin Oliver Kendall, of the Parachute School at Fort Benning, Georgia; five brothers, John Kendall of Abilene, L.B. Kendall of Gladewater, P.L. Kendall of Monahans, Joe Kendall of Dawson, Roy Kendall of Oakland, California; and one sister, Mrs. Ella Paris of Coolidge, Texas.
