He married Sherdon (Sherrie) Barber on Oct. 24, 1964. She passed away Oct. 10, 2001.
He was a graduate of New Castle High School and Youngstown State University. He was in the Army from 1959 to 1962 and the Army Reserves until 1965. He was employed with the Ivor J. Lee Engineering Company and previously with Pennsylvania Engineering Corp. as an estimator.He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and golf.He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-law, Michele and Brian Lockley of New Castle and Shannon and Rock Gabos of Pittsburgh; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Nancy Abbott of Lakeville, Minn., and Patrick Abbott of Cleveland; one sister, Joan Koski Warsing of New Castle; and eight grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev.
