s/o John Henry Goms and Matilda Jane Snodgrass. Married Grace Vivian Hailey, d/o Walter Sidney Hailey and Harriet Hodges, on Jan. 10, 1912 in Centralia, Nemaha, Kansas. They had three children: Glen Raymond, John Carl, and Lawrence Leslie.

COUNCIL GROVE -- John L Goms, former Morris county resident and member of a pioneer family, who died of a heart attack at his home in Loveland, Colo., March 30, was the older son of J.H. Gomes and the late Mrs. Goms.
He was born in Morris county living here until the family located in Colorado a few years ago. In addition to farming Mr. Goms al dealt in real estate after moving to Council Grove.
He is survived by his wife, of the home, and two sons, Glen of Loveland, and Carl now living in California. His father who has lived in Phoenix, Ariz., for several years, was visiting in the John Goms home at the time of his son's death. There is also one brother Gage G. Goms, of Phoenix.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Block Funeral home here, with the Rev. Merle W. Whitlow in charge. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
