Henry Clay Pelsor died October 18, 1902 in Mt. Carmel, Franklin Co., Indiana. He was born February 28, 1845 in Metamora, Indiana to Peter Dixon Pelsor and Lucy Ann Morgan. He married Nancy Ann Coil 30 September 1866 near Metamora, Indiana.
Henry Pelsor and his father both served in the Union Army of the civil war. When Henry C. was sixteen he enlisted as a private on August 16, 1861. He mustered out August 18, 1865 in Savannah, George with the rank of corporal. He was given the distinguished service award.
H.C. Pelsor served as pastor of the Union Grove M.E. church at Marble Corner, Shelby Twp and also for the Wesley Chapel ME church of Benham.
Henry had three sons: Peter, James and William and two daughters, Stella and Lucy. He is buried in the Metamora Cemetery
