Son of Billy Eli Rogerson and the late Marjorie Rawls Rogerson, he was employed in the maintenance department of Sara Lee where he had worked for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Rawls Rogerson, and brother, Billy Eli Rogerson, Jr. He is survived by his son, Brian Rogerson, and stepson, John Paul Evans; father, Billy Eli Rogerson, Sr., and stepmother, Hilda; brother, Foy "Allen" Rogerson and his wife Lisa; sisters, Katherine Rogerson and Tracey Sawyers and her husband Tod; step-sisters, Rhonda Mauldin and her husband Monty, and Jamie Watson and her husband Ray; and an extended family of relatives and friends. His funeral was held September 11, 2009, at Grace Family Fellowship Church with The Rev. Dallas Gurganus, The Rev. Curtis Haislip and Pastor Josh Purdy officiating.
