Billie Jean Volz, 73, Griffin Branch Road, London, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009, at the Corbin Nursing Home.
A Laurel County native, she was born Aug. 15, 1935, the daughter of William Lem Reams and Manila Johnson Reams. She was a die casting factory worker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Robert Reams and Steve Volz; a sister, Louise Harris; two brothers, Williams Reams Jr. and Roy Harold Reams.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Volz, of London; a son, Edward Volz, of Hamilton, Ohio; siblings, Marian Price, of London, Carolyn Woods, Klamath Falls, Ore., Georgia Lutz, of Louisville, and Darrell Reams, of East Bernstadt; grandchildren, Cassie, Kevin and Morgan Volz.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009, at the House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Baker officiating.
Burial followed in Pleasant View Cemetery in Laurel County.
Visitation was after 6 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at the funeral home.
