Former Newark Resident Died at Zanesville Saturday Afternoon-Burial Monday
Zanesville, O., Oct. 24-The death of Mrs. Abram Swartz, of Van Buren street, occurred at 2:10 o'cloct Saturday afternoon after a six months' illness of stomach trouble.
Mrs Swartz was 74 years of age. She came to this city from Newark 14 years ago, and had countless friends who will mourn her demise. Her husband and six children are left to mourn their irreparable loss.
The deceased was a woman of many virtues. She had a kind disposition, which endeared her to many associates. Mrs. Swartz was a consistent Christian and was a constant member of the Park street Church of Christ.
Short funeral services were held at the residence Monday morning and were conducted by Rev. Asa McDaniel. The funeral cortege then went to Newark where interment took place at Cedar Hill cemetery.
