Nathaniel enlisted in the Revolutionary War as a Private in Jan. 1781 and served under Capt. Richards Co; Col. Sherman's and Col. Swifts Conn. Reg't. He was discharged in 1783 and was awarded a pension and is in the pension list of 1840. He moved from Herkimer Co., N.Y. to Villenova Twp., in 1820, purchased lot #35 and in 1827 lot #63. On Oct. 11, 1832, he submitted his application and in 1834 he started recieving his Revolutionary War Pension of $80 a year. A plaque placed in 1979 by Alexander Macomb, Chap. reads: "Revolutionary Soldier Nathaniel Warner 1767-1847"
