Ruby Graham Hires, 87, of Pensacola, died there Thursday. She was born in Bonita Springs and had lived in Pensacola for the past 50 years. She was a member of Oakcrest Baptist Church in Pensacola.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Soloman Hires in 1951. Survivors include three sons: Daniel Hires, Marvin Hires and Donald Hires, all of Pensacola; three daughters: Juanita Rogers of Fort Myers, Reva Hudson of Birmingham, AL and Catherine Conn of San Diego, CA; 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at Fort Myers Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Chester officiating. Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (News-Press, Sunday, April 19, 1992)
