WHEELER - Oleta Jones, 99, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Zybach Cemetery with C.W. Parker, chaplain of Odyssey Healthcare, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home.

Oleta was born June 24, 1910, in Morgan Mill to Charlie Marshall Garner and Alice Morris Garner. She was a graduate of Zybach School. She married John Woodson Jones on July 17, 1929, in Cheyenne, Okla. Oleta and her family lived in Sudan and Allison from 1943 through 1977, before making their home in Wheeler. Oleta was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church in Allison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Woodson Jones, on Aug. 8, 1980.

Survivors include two sons, J.W. and wife Jean Jones of Duncanville and Charles and wife Dixie Jones of Hickory Creek; five grandchildren, Judy, Vicki, Jerry and Lonnie Hampton and Tim Walker; 10 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nell Bradstreet of Wheeler and Betty Louvier of Pampa.
