Frank was a tailor with an office in the Powers Building. He was killed near the Fishing Club when the buggy he and attorney John Lee were in was demolished, it is believed the horse bolted when scared by an automobile.

Frank left a wife, and two small daughters, two and four years old. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Will Seeforth and Mrs. Brooks Ferguson, of this city; and two brothers, Tony Abel of Danville, and Charles Abel of Chicago.
