According to Rufus Clinton Halsey book, she was the daughter of William Augustus Graham and Cansada Hash Halsey who never married.

She died about a month after giving birth, Jan 20 1888, not 1887. The son, Ahart, was adopted and raised by Rena & "Big Jim" Halsey, who were his aunt and uncle.
