Funeral services for Olan "Mutt" Tilton were held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel, Winnfield. Officiating were Revs. Glen Morton and Nathaniel Young. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Wheeling, La.

Mr. Tilton, 86, of Wheeling, died Monday, July 29, 1996 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. He was a member of the Montgomery Pentecostal Church and received two purple hearts during World War II.

Survivors are his wife, Willie B. Tilton of Wheeling, La.; two sons, Cecil Olan Tilton and Vernon L. Tilton, both of Wheeling, La.; one sister, Wilodee Keity of Sarasota, FL; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
