Sadie Hazen

Eleva - Sadie Belle Hazen, 81, Route 1, died Tuesday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.
Sadie Smith was born in Unity and was adopted by the Charles Flack family in the Town of Pleasant Valley as a child. She married Vian Hazen March 25, 1931 in Eau Claire. They farmed in the town of Pleasant Valley.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, Donald, Omaha, Neb., Clarence, Osseo, Charles, and Jerome, both of Menomonie, DeWayne, Eau Claire; three daughters, Irene Brantner, Mondovi, Sadie Hoverson, Eleva, and Beverly Dohms, Eau Claire; two brothers, Percy Rigg, Macomb, Ill., and Harold Nuerenberg, Lompoc, Calif.; 34 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 pm Friday at Rock Falls Baptist Church, with burial in Union Cemetery, town of Clear Creek.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at Fuller Funeral Home, Eau Claire and at the church an hour before services.
