The deceased was born at Union City, Tenn., April 9, 1880. He was united in marriage to Miss Rosa Frazelle, August 19, 1902, and to this union three children were born, two of whom survive. Mrs. Opal Hovis of Caruthersville and Clyde Denton of Wardell, the other son, Fred, died in infancy. Also two brothers, Fred Denton of Lunsford, Ark., and Dr. L.D. Denton of Braggadocio, and two sisters, Mrs. Lois Baker of Caruthersville and Mrs. L.E. Bingenheimer of Braggadocio.
Dr. Denton studied medicine and graduated from the University of Tennessee and had practice in this county at Micola, Braggadocio, Caruthersville and Wardell. He moved his residence about two years ago to Wardell from Caruthersville and practiced there until his death.
During his practice he had formed a large acquaintance and made a host of friends who regret to see him pass on. He was a member of the Methodist Church, having joined when a young man.
Services were held t the residence of his sister, Mrs. Lois Baker at 306 E. 7th Street, conducted by the Rev. W.L. Meyer. Interment was made in Little Prairie cemetery with LaForge service.
