Mrs. Mona Lee Helm, 60, resident of Caruthersville for many years and well-known here as a public school teacher, died at her home on Highland Avenue last Thursday, March 22, about 10:30 p.m. after an illness of several weeks.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church, of which she had been a member for many years, Saturday afternoon at two o'clock and burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery. The Rev. Floyd V. Brower conducted the service.
Mrs. Helm was born at Cape Girardeau on August 24, 1890, the daughter of Mrs. Ada Adams Juden and the late S.E. Juden. She had been a teacher for 38 years, first at Hayti and in the Caruthersville system, since coming here 26 years ago.
She is survived by her mother, two daughters, Mrs. Noel C. Dean of this city and Mrs. Horace Magee of St. Louis; a brother Edward V. Juden of Memphis; four grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.
