James "Mickey" Edward Hooten, 68, of Alabama, died April 1, 2005, in Alabama. He was born in Sumter County on March 7, 1936 and had lived in Alabama for the past few years. Mr. Hooten was an auto mechanic. Survivors include two sons, Lamar Hooten of Bushnell, and Kenny Hooten of Lake Butler, Fla.; daughter, Carolyn Ferguson of Alabama; four grandchildren, Tara Hooten, Vannette Hooten, Emily Hooten and Kailee Hooten; brother, Roy Hooten of Texas and sister, Cheryl of Alabama. Interment was at Linden Cemetery, Linden.
