Services for A.H. Paxton, 83, of Abernathy will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Arlen Ankle officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

He died Saturday, June 9, 2001.

He was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Granite, Okla., and moved from Granite to Abernathy in 1936. He married Ann Vasek on Jan. 31, 1944, in Abernathy. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Abernathy.

A son, E.B., preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Edward Boyce of Baytown; three brothers, Marvin of Jacksonville, Fla., Thurman of Mangum, Okla., and Don of Houston; and a sister, Elouise Stanley of Atlanta, Ga.
