Frank M. Decker, one of the eleven children of Martin and Barbara Wise Decker, was born January 17, 1886, at Hartford, Kansas.

The family moved to a farm west of LeRoy in 1902.

On September 16, 1913, he was married to Edna Belle Fairbanks and they were the parents of five children. They made their home on the family farm until 1939 when they moved to another farm northwest of Burlington.

In 1974 they moved to their home in Burlington. Edna died on September 12, 1980, four days before their sixty-seventh wedding anniversary. Frank continued to live in their home and it was there his death came in the early morning of August 27, 1982.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Burlington and had been a member of the Neosho Valley Grange for over sixty years.

He was also preceded by his son, Leonard Decker in 1976 and his daughter, Mary Louise Peters in 1978, also nine brothers and sisters.

He leaves his sons, Warren, Raymond, and Frank, Jr.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Flora Riebel; and many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
