Gray Beeler

Mr. Swan Gray Beeler, age 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Four Season's Elizabeth House Hospice after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Powell, TN on September 18, 1921, he was the son of the late John Harvey and Martha Gray Beeler. Mr. Beeler retired from Sears in Ft. Myers, FL with over 20 years of service as a Major Appliance Sales Representative and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville and sang in the Worship Choir, the Joy Singers Choir and the Joy Singers Quartet. Mr. Beeler was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II.
Mr. Beeler is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice N. Beeler; a son, Stephen G. Beeler and wife Cyndee, of Gastonia, NC.; a daughter, Susan B. Hinz and husband Keith, of Asheville, NC; a brother, Fred J. Beeler and wife Dollie, of Powell, TN; grandchildren, Amy B. Nanny and husband Dean, of Gastonia, NC; Stephanie B. Tilson and husband Steve, of Gastonia, NC; Brent Lane and wife Jessica, of Ft. Pierce, FL; Aaron Lane and wife Stacy, of Candler, NC; Misty Farris and husband Mike, of Ft. Myers, FL; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his former wives Roberta Rhea Beeler and Gilberta Stepp Beeler.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 8th, at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wally Shamburger officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 12:30PM to 1:45PM at the church prior to the funeral service.
