Donnell James Foster, 86, Anderson, died Feb 22, 1999 at Monticello House after and extended illness. He was born Aug. 6, 1912, in Daleville and lived in Anderson all his life. He retired in 1974 after 34 years as a long haul truck driver. Mr. Foster was employed in war material production at Guide Lamp Division of General motors and Willy's Overland during World War II. He was also a former insurance agent for Kentucky Home Mutual Insurance and as a Manager for Wake Up Oil Company.
He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, and was a member of Teamsters Local 135 and former member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges.
Survivers include seven daughters and sons-in-law. Phillis and Bradley Seal of Markelville, Debbie and Doug Porter of Decatue Ala, Barbara and Harvey Kates, Patricia and James Miller, Peggy and Frank Norris, MaLeah and William Whiteman, and Vera and Jim Merrit all of Anderson. Two sons, Robert D. Otto of Alexandria and John Paul Jones of Indianapolis; sister Vera (Markle) and husband Gilbert Rushton of San Bernadino California. 74 Grandchildren;74 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sons; Wilber Lee Foster, Darl D. Foster and Robert E. Jones; daughter Donna Mae Foster and sisters; Aretha (husband Dick Smith) and Leona ( Frank Tobin) and two wives, Ila Ruth (Jones)Foster and Neva Dee (Otto) Foster.
