John Blaha, 84, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 1992, in Vernon Manor, Viroqua. He was bom Dec. 11, 1907, to John and Anna (Davidson) Blaha. He was married on Dec. 28, 1930, to Emma Winchel. They farmed in the Hillsboro area many years. He is survived by his wife, Emma of Hillsboro; five daughters, Marcella (Ed) Colson of Paddock Lake, Wis., Ernestine Davis of Greenfield, Wis., Margaret (Don Sr.) Yanske of Westby, Joan (Otto) Zinke of Kendall, and Patricia Blaha of Hillsboro; two sons, Alfred (Lois) Blaha of Dell, Wis., and Daniel Blaha of Hillsboro; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Annie Winchel of Kendall and Erma Novy of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Maynard; a grandson, Everett Colson; five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 6, 1992, at 1 p.m. in Picha Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Alan Tripp officiating and burial in Forest-Burr Cemetery. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m.
