Born Jun. 23, 1898. Son of Oscar D. and Elizabeth Gambrell Nabors. Married to Stella Gambrell Nabors. They had 3 children. James O. Nabors,S.L.Nabors, and Frances Nabors Brooks.

Ms. Stella passed away 12 years earlier. Mr. Nabors who was on his way to work at Matthews Plant, was riding to work with his neighbors, the Willis's. When the Willis's car developed mechanical trouble, Mr. Nabors was holding the hood, while Mr. Willis was under the car.
Another vehicle came down the road crushed into the rear of the car, killing the driver of the car, and fatally injuring Mr. Nabors.

Mr. Nabors was a member of Waterloo Methodist Church where he was a regular attendant. He died doing what he had always done, helping someone
