Absalom was the 5th known child of Absalom B. & Barbara Alfrey Clark. He served in the Civil War in Co. G. 79th IL Infantry with 3 of his brothers: Henry Harrison Clark (1833-1928), Fielden Dixon "Dick" Clark (1841-1902), Turner Anderson Clark (1843-1906) and one brother-in-law, Christopher Harlow. Me married 6 Oct. 1859 in Williamsport,IN Mary Ellen Thompson (1842-1901). Their children are listed under her name. He married 2nd January 21,1905 in Madison, MO. Cordelia Caney Baker (1844-1927).
