She was born June 15th, 1876 in Caruthersville, the daughter of the late Judge James W. and Leonara Alelaide Faris. She attended private elementary schools in Caruthersville and the high school here, being in the first graduating class in 1897.
On Nov. 27th, 1901 in Caruthersville, she married Dr. Joseph Green Crider. He proceded her in death on June 13th, 1914. They were the first couple to be married in the little white framed Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Crider and her children moved from Hayti to Caruthersville in 1919. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church Order of Eastern Star Chapter 465, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lenore Muir of Caruthersville and Mrs. Ralph Capps of Evansville, Ind.; and one grandson, Joseph Gordon Muir of New York City.
Pallbearers were Kirby VanAusdall Charles A. Faris, Ancil Robertson, D.J. Merideth, Howard Fike, and Charles Dorroh.
