Mrs. Grace L. Chase, 100
, formerly of 1207 E. 3rd St., died Tuesday at the St. Francis Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 26, 1887, in Cordova, Minn. She resided in Grand Rapids, Minn., before moving to Superior in 1915. She was a 50-year member of the Hammond Avenue Presbyterian Church. She was a past deacon and member of the Mary Circle. She was also a member of the Queen City Chapter No. 20 of the Order of Eastern Star, the Shrine Auxiliary of the Aad Temple in Duluth, the Central Garden Club and the Superior Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bradford Chase, in 1976.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Friday, at the Hammond Avenue Presbyterian Church, Rev. Ron Reese officiating, with burial in the Itasca Cemetery, Grand Rapids. The Downs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
