Funeral services for Edward "Eddie" Byer Sr., age 79, of Brownwood will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at the First Nazarene Church in Brownwood with Mary Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Byer passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, in Brownwood.

Eddie was born Oct. 29, 1929, in Marion, Ind., to Odas and Dora (Bricker) Byer. He was a member of the First Nazarene
