Graveside services for Mr.James Melvin Jordan,age 79,of Cochran who died Tuesday,February 17,2009,at his residence were held Thursday,February 19,2009,at 4 p.m. in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with Dr.Robert Woodall officiating.
Mr.Jordan,born in Sylvester,had lived in Cochran for 31 years.He was a retired computer operator for Singer Company and a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War.He was a member of the Limestone Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife,Patricia Jordan of Cochran;sister-in-law,Katherine Jordan of Cochran;nieces andnephews,Linda Sanders,Brenda Jordan and James(Marsha)Jordan of Cochran.
Memorials may be made to the limestone Baptist Church or the Gideons International.
Mathis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
